Cooperation on Climate

Climate science may be complicated, but the science of man-made global warming is not. The chemistry and thermodynamics of green-house gases are well understood, their escalating concentrations well documented, and the trends unmistakable. The scientific consensus is clear, with climate scientists and scientific organizations in unequivocal agreement. (Remember tobacco smoke doubters?) Climate disruption is real. The question is the best way to deal with it.

Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change assessing the science related to climate change (U.N.)
This public portal for IPCC reports and supporting material can be daunting. I would start with the Land is a Critical Resource report (August 2019), then the special report on Global Warming of 1.5°C. The 2014 Fifth Assessment Report (AR5) is still relevant. Here is a list of helpful links.

National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to prepare for climate variability and change
Mission: Science, Service and Stewardship
  1. To understand and predict changes in climate, weather, oceans and coasts;
  2. To share that knowledge and information with others; and
  3. To conserve and manage coastal and marine ecosystems and resources.
Favorite environmental archive: NCEI. Favorite interactive tool: Imagery and Data. See SOS.

Skeptical Science
Getting skeptical about global warming skepticism
This may be the best online source for explaining climate change science and rebutting global warming misinformation. I refer others here often. Start with the Global Warming and Climate Change Myths. The page on misinformation by source is also helpful. Many of the Climate Graphics are great.
